文化的果实 人类各种文化有着不同的起源、发展及现状。曾经有人将不同的文化比作桔子与苹果。

从某个角度看，桔子就是桔子，苹果就是苹果，二者有着不同的特性。就中国文化与西方文化而言，其相异之例比比皆是。从日常用语的明确程度，到文学作品的模糊意境；从人文关怀的着重角度，到人生痛苦的价值衡量；从哲学层次的阴阳思维，到实用主义的换角思维，中西文化显示着诸多不同。

从另一个角度看，桔子和苹果都是水果。在蓝色的海洋文明与黄色的土地文明之间有着种种相似与相连。这是由人类对真善美的追求、生命的共性所决定的。

现代中国人的任务在于，如何将自己的文化用世界通行的办法表现出来，贡献给人类文明，而且吸收异国文化的精华，融为己用。通过人类在地球村中的共存、互助、互利，共同培植一个丰盛的果园。

小津·雷诺

雷纳博士在中国毕业，在1985年开始参加工作，成为一名肿瘤医师。后来，她在墨尔本皇家医院和墨尔本大学从事了6年的肿瘤研究。

目前，她从事外科工作，并在澳大利亚作为全科的临床医师。从2005年起，她在墨尔本大学医学院担任临床指导，并从2006年起在澳大利亚皇家全科医师协会担任奖学金主审官。

除了从事医疗行业以外，她也在各种报纸和杂志上发表了一些关于中华文化和西方文化的文章。

Ononehand,noonecandenytheevidentdifferencesbetweenapplesandoranges.Similarly,

thereareplentyofexamplesofdifferencesbetweenChineseandWesterncultureincluding:

thelanguageofdailylifeandtherespectiveliterarycanons,thenatureofmedicalcare,specificallyattitudestowardspainandalsothepredominantphilosophicalstyles.

Ontheotherhand,bothapplesandorangesarefruit.ChineseandWesternculturesshareagreatdealastheyreflectourcommonhumanitythatiseverinpursuitoftruth,kindnessandbeauty.

ThechallengeofmodernChinesepeopleistoexpresstheirownculturewithinthecontextofanincreasinglyglobalisedworldandrecognisethatwithinthisglobalvillagewehavemuchtolearnandtoteach.
