Returning to the original point, seeking consensus-
Reflection on the dialogues between multiple civilizations in the world
With the colossal impact of globalization, to construct a new world culture becomes a historical task for the development of human culture. There is a proper way for cultural development. In this way, we must respect the differences, strengthen communication, seek multi-harmony and look for common prosperity.
In the new global era, humanity is facing many problems which are amazingly similar to those of ancient times.
Returning to the original point and seeking consensus, that is not retrogression or recovery of human civilization.
On the contrary, it is the refiection on the origin of human culture. Simultaneously, it's the starting and similar point of seeking not only the basis of communication between different civilizations, but also harmony and common prosperity. Based on this, the following part is three relationships worth considering.
First, the relationship between human and nature is an etemal theme in the history ofhuman civilization. The dialogue and advance of human civilization are exactly the ways and attitudes to reach consensus on the treatment of nature.
On the issue of harmony and common prosperity, any civilization is based on the relationship between human and nature.
Second, the relationships among people cannot be ignored. In the thousands-of-years progress of human civilization, interpersonal relationships constantly undergo significant change. Economic globalization has promoted dependency considerably from person to person. At the same time, qualitative changes have occurred in the interpersonal relationship. The dialogue of civilizations in modem times requires people to transcend ethnic barriers and national borders in order to share understanding, tolerance and harmony instead of confrontation. The modem shaping of people's relationships is a precondition for future development ofworld civilization.
Third, the relationship between man and society is also very important. Productive dialogues between civilizations depend on a new cultural horizon. In this horizon, we should establish many new relations between human and society, between one state and the other, as well as among the various religious faiths. Moreover, for the horizon it is essential to make joint efforts for the future construction of a new world culture.
In the course ofthe latest construction of the world culture, between different civilizations, it is required to transcend itself, overtake the history, seek consensus, make a breakthrough and move toward mutual prosperity. It consists of three sections. The first section is the vision of the world. A grand vision, scientific method and diverse civilizations are the bases for dialogue. The second section is the philosophical breakthrough. Through adequate exchange, various ideologies reach a consensus and come together mainstream ideology. The third section is consensus and common prosperity. Civilizations should enhance themselves in the dialogue, accept and absorb others. The trunk of a new global culture will naturally occur in a harmonious atmosphere.
