明清之际的“西学中源”说与中华传统文化的包容精神

在中国古代数千年历史发展的进程中，基于“厚德载物”理念而产生的包容精神，为中华传统文化的传承、发展、壮大，起到了极为重要的作用。它既是博大精深的中华文化的显著特征，也是传统文化千百年来生生不息、绵延至今的重要原因。这种包容精神，不仅体现在中国境内各地区、各民族文化之间的相互交流与吸收，而且还反映在中华传统文化对外域文明的吸纳与融会。产生于明末清初第一次中西文化交流高峰时期的“西学中源”说，就是中国知识界认同和接受西学，理解和论述中西文化关系的理论依据。这一思潮学说，在为西学传播扫清障碍、开拓空间的同时，也刺激了学人士子对中国传统学术文化的重视。作为时代的产物，它与晚清时期出现的“中体西用”说后先相继，相辅相成，反映了中国知识界面对外来文化的独特思考，也体现出中华传统文化包容吸纳西方文明的独特路径。
