王宇信

1940年生于北京市平谷区。1959年考入于北京大学历史系考古专业，1964年毕业，同年考取中国科学院历史研究所甲骨学殷商史专业研究生，师从胡厚宣先生。1967年毕业，留历史研究所工作。任中国社会科学院研究员、中国社会科学院研究生院博士研究生导师、中国殷商文化学会会长等职，2011年被选为荣誉学部委员。

主要从事甲骨学殷商史的研究。参加《甲骨文合集》的编辑，总审校《甲骨文合集释文》。主持《中国古代文明与国家形成研究》、《甲骨学一百年>等项目。个人著有《甲骨学通论》、《建国以来甲骨文研究》、《西周甲骨探》等书，发表学术论文百余种。

汉语汉字在当今世界——由韩国济州岛举办的中日韩汉字文化国际学术研讨会说起汉字是记录汉语的象意符号，也是五千年来文化传承和积淀。汉字以她强大的生命力和深厚的文化底蕴，曾深刻影响过周边的邻邦，这就是曾经一度辉煌的以中日韩越等组成的汉字文化圈。

近代以来，由于中国近现代国际影响地位的一度消弱，汉字文化的影响下降。1978年以后，中国的经济实力增长，国际影响和地位有了增强。世界各国为了和中国交往，愈来愈多的开始学汉语和汉字，并为汉字的深刻内涵所吸引。

2012年8月在韩国举办了中日韩汉字文化国际论坛，各国学者不仅学习研究汉字、汉字典籍和古汉字的甲骨、金文、简帛等，并着力把中日韩的汉字古籍数字化，还成立了国际汉字文化学会，为汉字文化圈的再辉煌而努力。中日韩学者为实用汉字的规范化、科学化和时代化而做着自己的努力。诸如日本从“当用汉字表”列“常用汉字表”和适应电脑用汉字。而韩国，关于汉字教学和普及，用象形甲骨文字进行教学实验等。而汉字的核心中国，最近关于《现代汉语词典》收录“字母词”的争论，应是中国汉字改革“走拼音化道路”到“汉字简化”和拉丁拼音字母的继续和前进。

随着“孔子学院”在各国的建立，大批熟练使用汉语、汉字的应用型人材成长起来。与此同时，一批热爱汉字文化深刻文化内涵的研究人材也学有所成。因此，中日韩汉字文化国际论坛和国际汉字文化研究会的成立，应就是汉语、汉字文化和汉字文化圈即将复兴的标志。
